How to download and install FTDI Drivers

 From the official source, how to install drivers. <br/>Note: Some users of Windows 7 64 bit have had problems getting the drivers correctly installed. If this occurs: <br/>

  • Make sure to reboot after the drivers have been installed
  • Once installed and rebooted, if problems recognizing the device still occur:
    • Unplug the USB cable the device is connected to
    • delete ("uninstall")  the device in Windows Device Manager
    • Plug the USB with the device connected back in
    • From Divice Manager, select the device and Update Driver, allowing Windows Update to search for the Driver

 

 

LilyPad Arduino ATMega32u4:

 

Congratulations! You've picked the LilyPad Arduino that doesn't require an FTDI board - that takes one step out of setting up your programming environment. It has fewer pins than the ATMega328P, but it does have a dedicated USB port and a connector for a LiPo battery. More Details...
